Hello Kelly families! My name is Deborah Siller and I am looking forward to a new school year. This is my 7th year at Kelly Elementary and I feel so fortunate to be working with such a caring community.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I attended St. Leo’s Catholic School from 1st through 8th grade and Blessed Sacrament Academy during my high school years. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Incarnate Word College (now known as the University of the Incarnate Word.) My degree is in Home Economics with a minor in Business; my emphasis was in fashion merchandising. When I first entered the work force, I worked in retail.
I lived for one year in Brooklyn, New York, when I first graduated from college. While there I worked at a few different places. One of the most interesting places I worked was for a Japanese-owned bank on the 96th floor of the World Trade Center.
When I returned from New York, I continued to work in retail. It was my mother who convinced me to change careers and go into education. I received my teaching certification from the University of Texas in San Antonio in 1987 and my masters of education from Texas A&I in Kingsville. This is my 26th year in education and my 17th year as a school principal.
Now that you know a little about me, I’d like to know about you. Please take some time to stop by and tell me about yourself!!! Call me at 223-6962 or email me at
