Welcome back to the 2013-2014 school year! Your students will be returning to school for an exciting year of active learning, offering students daily opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. The district's theme this year is "Championing Children of Promise." Our school theme is "Stampede to Success!" Our pony stampede symbolizes our teachers working together to ensure that every student at Page Middle School is successful.
Our focus this year will be on the following school-wide goals:
We will implement a year-long campaign to reach our attendance goal of 96%. Our expectation is that your children come to school each day ready to learn with their AVID binders and in full uniform with shirts tucked in (6th - White collared shirts; 7th - Green; 8th - Black; NO CARGOS and NO HOODIES!). Students can only wear white, green, or black undershirts. Only mesh net or see-through clear backpacks will be allowed.
Sixth grade students will report to the Cafeteria and 7th/8th grade students will report to the gym no later than 8:35 each morning. Breakfast will be served each morning beginning at 8:35 and classes will begin at 8:45. There will be early release before 2:00PM and dismissal has been extended this year until 4:00PM. YMCA will be providing an after school program daily this school year from 4:00-6:00PM, except for early release days (October 25 and March 28). Students not participating in the After School Program must vacate the school immediately upon release.
We will hold a 6th Grade Orientation on Tuesday, August 20 at 6:00PM in the Auditorium and a "Meet the Teacher" event on Friday, August 23 at 3:30 - 5:00 PM in the Page Auditorium.
I look forward to meeting you and our Page Ponies soon!
