Pickett Academy Program

Pickett Academy is an Alternative Academic campus for students referred by San Antonio ISD. Students referred to the program often exhibit educational and/or behavioral needs beyond those which can be accommodated at a regular campus.

As an Alternative Academic campus, Pickett Academy assists the San Antonio ISD in providing therapeutic interventions at school without interfering with a student’s academic experience. Pickett Academy placement is designed to increase the social, emotional, and academic success of students. Each classroom is staffed with a special education teacher and one mental health assistant.

Our primary purpose of improving lives through a quality education is driven by an unrelenting determination to graduate all of our students and prepare them for success in higher education. Our ideology is reflected in our fundamental beliefs, commitments and core values that guide us in our daily practices.
