Winning Essay
To have good sportsmanship you don’t have to necessarily have to be a sports player. I personally am a basketball player and use good sportsmanship as frequently as possible. After every game we shake hands with the opposing team and exchange “good game.” Whether we win or lose. Such a simple act like that tells a lot about a person. Off and on the court I believe that good sportsmanship is very important. It’s easy to show everywhere. Letting other kids join in to your game at the park is one good example. I would never exclude someone because they are no good. I lose at games all the time, but because I want to use good sportsmanship I never take loss in a bad way. I have never gotten upset and quit or called someone a name just because they won. Having good sportsmanship signifies a good person. Sometimes I see people pulling chairs out from under people just to see them fall and see some of the less sociable kids being pushed away from group activities. I wish everyone used sportsmanship but, of course it’s up to the individual. Sportsmanship will always be a part of me.
