I am proud to serve the Will Rogers Elementary School community. In the three years that I have been here, I have learned that Will Rogers is more than a Learning Community, we are a family. Our Teachers and Staff have high expectations of our students, and as a result, Will Rogers has garnered the status of a TEA Recognized School 8 times in the past 12 years. Though we face many challenges ahead of us, we are positive that by working together, our students will rise to meet even higher expectations Parent and Academic support, extra-curricular activities, and the partnerships we build with business and community, will help us prepare our students for learning that will serve them throughout their lives. Students and staff exemplify the SAISD's Mission Statement, Core Beliefs, and Core Values on a daily basis as we strive to build Character in our children.! As part of the Thomas A. Edison High School cluster of schools, T-Bears will one day transform into Golden Bears! But we know that our dreams for our children do not stop until they graduate from college, obtain rewarding careers, and become good citizens. Our theme for the 2012-13 school year is: "Building Our Dream!" Together, we will make this motto become reality. Have a great school year!
PRINCIPAL'S VISION: 1. Create the most informed and well-trained faculty/staff in SAISD 2. Build multi-layered campus leadership 3. Design Professional Development that supports our goals and frameworks 4. Support our efforts to build a school for teaching and learning in the 21st century 5. Help develop students who will be able to succeed in an unpredictable world
