Important:  As we move closer to the end of the school year we are also appoaching several important testing dates.  3-5th graders are taking interims and will be taking the next round of TAKS.  1st-2nd graders will be taking the ITBS test and the last round of TPRI.  Kinder will also take the last round of TPRI.  You can help your child to be successful by ensuring that they are at school everyday on time. It is also important that they are getting PLENTY of sleep and a healthy breakfast each day.

     Welcome to Kate Schenck Elementary ~ home of the mighty owls!  Schenck has been recognized for years as the Pride of the Southside; located off of Goliad Street two miles from Brooks City-Base.  Currently it is the fourth largest SAISD elementary campus with about 730 pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students, and about 95 staff members.   

     The staff at Schenck is dedicated to provide the best educational opportunities for our students.  We embrace the philosophy of providing what educational and social support each child needs, and we believe in working as a team with our parents to give each child a well-rounded education during their tenure.
