During the week of Feb. 24-28th we will be
administering the STAAR simulation tests in grades 3-5.
This is a great opportunity for the students to practice
the routines and procedures for the actual test days in April.
These are 4 hour timed tests. Please be sure your
student is here on time and stays all day.
Join us at our PTA meetings
the 2nd Tuesday of each month!
See you there!

Ms. Karen Klingsporn
Welcome to Kate Schenck Elementary School . . . Home of the Owls!
My name is Karen Klingsporn, and I have been an educator since 1993. I am a graduate of Harding University in Searcy, AR, where I received both my undergraduate and master’s degrees. Additionally, I completed my Principal Certification at UTSA. I have taught in Belton ISD (my hometown), Northside ISD, and Boerne ISD before working for SAISD in the Reading/ELA Department. I have been a campus administrator in SAISD for three years prior to joining Schenck Elementary.
I am very happy to be part of the Schenck Elementary Staff. We are a safe, friendly community. Our teachers are student-centered and committed to academic and personal excellence. We strive for consistent communication with parents and to understand each child’s unique educational needs. Our mission is to ensure that every child graduates and is educated so that he or she is prepared to be a contributing member of the community.
