I went to Schenck Elementary, Rogers Middle School, and graduated from Highlands High School (Go Owls!).

I am proud to say that I am a product of SAISD and grew up on the southeast side!

I attended SAC and Southwest Texas State University, but I earned my Bachelor of Arts

degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at San Antonio,

with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on completing my Master's Degree.

I have been a teacher at Kate Schenck since December 1999.

Welcome to 3rd grade!  I am so happy to have your child in my class!  You will see your child develop and learn so many new things this year.  It will be a year of new friendships, adventures and most important-- academic growth

It is so important that your child is at school everyday ON TIME.  School officially starts at 8:05.m.  We serve a free breakfast in the classroom to every child who is at school at 7:50.  We let the children in the rooms at that time to begin eating.  Breakfast is cleaned up at 8:05 sharp.   Anyone not in the classroom at 8:05 is counted tardy. Being tardy prevents our entire class from winning any attendance incentives..please be on time!

Help our school raise $ and help our class win a party! I often offer incentives for turning in boxtops!

Communication between home and school is very important!  Please feel free to email me at any time. while I may not be able to answer your email immediately, I will answer it as soon as possible.  I do check my email often throughout the day. As a note: because it is the students responsiblility to make sure they have their homework sheet, binder, and materials each day before  they leave, I will not email homework.
