Parent Volunteers

Our parent volunteers are very important members of our school community. If you are interested in becoming a parent volunteer, please contact Ms. Eva Sanchez, Community Liason.  She will help you fill out the neccessary background check paperwork to be submitted for approval. Our staff and students will be so grateful for your help!

Some volunteer duties:

*working in the parent volunteer room to complete tasks for teachers (copies, laminating, sorting, etc)

*assisting teachers in classrooms

*running errands within the school

* assisting office staff

*setting up for events

It is also absolutely necessary to have an approved background check (SAISD policy) to volunteer, help in your child's classroom, school events, to eat lunch in the cafeteria, or to attend field trips.  No exceptions.

We recommend that you fill one out even if you are unsure about when you may be volunteering. It can take up to 4 weeks to receive approvals back in our office. *Your clearance does expire.  Please check the date to make sure you are still cleared. It is our suggestion that you re-apply at the beginning of every school year.
