Our motto this year – Committed to Building Bridges to Success.  P.F. Stewart Elementary is a TEA Academically Acceptable Campus striving to bridge the gap to exemplary.  Striving for exemplary requires a commitment from students, parents, faculty, staff, and community to do the difficult work of improving and growing through change.  Change is almost always difficult and usually causes some discomfort.  We endure change to make our vision a reality – fostering an environment of high expectations for academic excellence, mutual respect and leadership for students, parents, staff and community through collaboration and cooperation.  We endure change to bridge the gap to academic excellence.  
 
As you navigate our website, you will begin to notice changes here as well.  Our commitment to high expectations and excellence and the difficulty of change will be evident as our website begins to bridge the gap to excellence.  Just as any change is not easy, the updating of our website won’t be easy, but our commitment to ensuring the best for our students and the community through transparent communication is worth every growing pain!  Our goal is to have individual teacher web pages beginning by the end of this school year where parents and students can access assignments, homework, important information, and notable dates.  Come back often to not only see the changes and improvements but to keep up to date about all the exciting activities your students are involved in as they cross the bridge to success guided by their teachers and family.
 
We at P.F. Stewart are excited about the journey of change that we are on together and appreciate your flexibility and support.  Through continued collaboration and cooperation, we will achieve not only exemplary but will meet the San AntonioIndependentSchool District’s mission to graduate all of our students and to prepare them for success in higher education.  Our students’ success begins with you, carries on through us, middle school, high school, and higher education.  Thank you for building the foundation for your child’s success.
