HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• All students interested in attending a Choice School or Program that they are not currently enrolled in must submit a 2024-25 application.
• Students who are already enrolled in a Choice School or Program do not need to re-apply.
• Current year waitlists do not roll over for consideration for the following year.
• 2024-25 applications are submitted in AVELA, San Antonio ISD’s new unified enrollment platform.
• You can connect to the new Avela platform directly from this website’s gold APPLY button.
• A paper version of the 2024-25 application will be available for families upon request.
• Stay informed by following San Antonio ISD on social media and this website.

Families should submit a 2024-25 Choice application in our NEW platform, Avela!

1. Click the gold APPLY button in the top right-hand corner of this website.
2. Click “for 2024-25 (Avela)” to go to the new platform.
3. Log in with your phone number or email address. Families new to SAISD may have to create an account.
4. Apply for up to eight (8) SAISD Choice Schools or Programs for each child. Make sure to rank your schools for best placement!
5. You’re done! Be on the lookout for confirmation emails/texts from Avela regarding your application. Lottery offers are announced on March 1, 2024. See the complete timeline here.

You can still apply for 2023-24 for limited available seats.

• Submit an application for the current school year in SchoolMint to be added to the waitlist.
• Any available seats are offered weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays via email/text message notification.
• If a seat is not available for the current school year, your application will remain on that waitlist, and you will need to submit a 2024-25 application in Avela.
