The SAISD Hazard Communication Program

Environmental Programs updates the “working draft” of the SAISD Hazard Communication Program (which includes the “Workplace Chemical List” (WCL)) annually.  The written program includes:

  • Responsibilities / Coverage
  • MSDS / Container Labels
  • Training / Personal protective equipment
  • Posting Texas DSHS Employee Notice / Reporting Fatalities & Injuries
  • Definition / Workplace Chemical List (WCL)
  • Definitions / the SAISD WCL

The current SAISD Hazard Communication is available in pdf form or can be obtained by contacting Environmental Programs.

Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Access

MSDS / SDS for most hazardous chemicals / materials (e.g., those stocked by the Purchasing or Plant Services warehouses) are available on the SAISD SDS Digital Library.  

MSDS / SDS for laboratory chemicals can be access through the Flinn Scientific “Flinn MSDS” website located at http://www.flinnsci.com/msds-search.aspx.  If you cannot find an MSDS for a laboratory chemical contact the SAISD Science and Curriculum Management Department @ 210-354-4385.

If you need an MSDS for an SAISD chemical that you cannot find contact either Eddie Pena or Peter Swerzenski (Environmental Programs) at 210-554-2420.
