What: 5,000 SAISD staff to receive COVID vaccinations in two-day event; 100% of SAISD staff will have been provided access and opportunity by end of two-day vaccination clinic

When: March 22 (Mon) – 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Where: Wonderland of the Americas Mall, 4522 Fredericksburg Road

In collaboration with University Health, up to 5,000 San Antonio ISD employees will receive access to a COVID-19 vaccine over a two-day period – Monday, March 22 and Tuesday, March 23. To date, the District already has been able to provide 2,000 vaccinations to SAISD employees through partnerships with health care agencies. With the additional 5,000 vaccines, SAISD will be able to offer this opportunity to 100% of its staff by the end of March.  
  
Campus-based staff have been prioritized for Monday, March 22, which is a student holiday. Central office staff are being scheduled for Tuesday, March 23. SAISD is providing school bus transportation to the vaccination clinic at Wonderland of the Americas Mall on both dates.  
  
SAISD will continue to advocate for vaccine access, even after all employees have received the opportunity. The District will continue to collaborate with health care agencies to ensure its entire community – from SAISD families to eligible students – also receive the access they need to these life-saving vaccines. 

It is expected that the COVID-19 vaccines, in combination with SAISD’s safety protocols and weekly COVID-19 testing, will ensure staff and students have the safest possible school environment for the rest of this school year.
