Latest Bond 2020 Updates

The Davis Middle School Project Advisory Team, or PAT, comprised of members of the school community, met on May 27, 2021 for an introduction to the Bond 2020 project. Representatives from the architecture firm, Nextgen Architects, were on hand to get to know the PAT members and to kick off the conversation around what the project will look like when it is complete. The project will focus on finishing the campus facilities from work that was done through prior SAISD Bonds.

The work through Bond 2020 will meet the District's new Educational Specifications guidelines. More will be discussed as the project gets underway.

• New interior and exterior security cameras 

Technology 

• Infrastructure and wireless/wired components for high-speed connectivity for learning in every classroom, science lab and other areas of the campus 
• Classroom audio systems, interactive smart boards, support tools and student devices 

Replace and Renovation 

• Overhaul or replacement of gyms, locker rooms, weight rooms and support spaces 
• New sports fields 
• New or replacement outdoor learning opportunities 
• Re-paving and re-surfacing parking lots and driveways
