Software/Apps Approved by the District

SAISD maintains a list of approved software applications and websites.  These applications/websites have been evaluated and vetted.  The list allows multiple search options to help find a software/website, by title, description, category, content, compatible device, license and date approved.  If you do not find your software/website, please submit a Software Approval request, through the new Technology Support Portal - https://saisd-support.saasit.com/.

• When a new software approval request is received the following process occurs.
• Instructional requests are reviewed/approved, by the appropriate content leadership, and department requests by Information Technology.
• The request is evaluated by the Software committee and a decision is made to approve or deny.  Information Technology focuses on
  
  • Security check for the network and firewall,
  • Operation on the various operating systems,
  • Data requirement by the vendor, and
  • Data privacy and/or confidentiality agreement with the vendor.
• The customer receives an email notification.  If the request is approved, the customer can proceed with the purchase and/or request a software install through the Technology Support Portal.
