Welcome to Andrew Briscoe Academy

Welcome to Andrew Briscoe Academy, home of the Briscoe Bears. We are a TEA Recognized campus serving approximately 500 monolingual and bilingual students in grades PreK-4 through 5th.

Our goal as an internal charter school is to educate and meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of each child while providing a safe and nurturing environment for learning.

Principal’s Message:

My name is D'Les Herron. I am proud to be serving as the new Principal for Briscoe Elementary School for the 2016-17 school year. Teachers, students and the community have kindly welcomed me and I am looking forward to an amazing year! This will be my 19th year as an educator. My belief is that student success depends on a collaboration of students, parents, teachers and all stakeholders. I have challenged our teachers with new district initiatives and we are preparing our students to meet those expectations. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any celebrations or concerns. Thank you for being a part of our success!
