Welcome to James Madison Elementary

Congratulations to Miss Pena, our Madison Teacher of the Year!!!!

Greetings from your Principal, Barbara Black...

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year. The SAISD theme for the year is BELIEVE – CONNECT – SUCCEED and our staff is committed to ensuring that we fulfill that promise. We have approximately 640 PK-5th grade students and a teaching staff of 43 highly qualified professionals. Team Madison will strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment so all students are able to reach their full potential. We will collaborate with parents and community members to help us reach our goals and we look forward to a very successful year.

SAISD Mission Statement
To transform SAISD into a national model urban school district where
every child graduates and is educated so that he or she is prepared
to be a contributing member of the community.

We serve approximately 640 students with a faculty and staff of highly qualified professionals.  Our goal is to ensure all students are successful at Madison and prepare them for future endeavors.

We strive to provide a challenging and nurturing environment designed to help all students reach their full potential.  Collaboration with parents and community members is essential in helping us reach our goals. We look forward to working together to become an EXEMPLARY school.
