The SAISD Bond 2020 program hosted four virtual community meetings for staff, families, and the broader community to provide an update on Bond 2020 projects and key operational developments.
The sessions highlighted progress on major capital improvements funded by the $1.3 billion bond approved by voters in November 2020. Attendees heard updates on school renovations, safety and security enhancements, and upgrades to HVAC systems and technology infrastructure. In addition, participants heard updates on facilities maintenance, had their questions answered, and learned about upcoming bond community events.
“Transparency and meaningful community engagement are at the core of our mission,” said Patti Salzmann, SAISD Deputy Superintendent for Operations, Human Capital Management, and Strategy. “These meetings provide families a direct line to district leaders and a chance to see how our investments are shaping the future of our schools.”
Bond 2020 was one of the largest in the district’s history, aimed at modernizing facilities and providing students with safe, innovative learning environments.
