🌍 Day 4: Safari to Success! ✈️
Our Teacher Appreciation Week world tour continued today with a journey into the heart of East Africa! For Day 4, we explored the beauty and culture of Tanzania. 🇹🇿
The staff lounge was completely transformed into a high-flying travel hub, featuring airplane cabin views and hanging gliders to give our educators the first-class experience they deserve.
🦒 Highlights of the Journey:
First-Class Service: Teachers touched down in a lounge turned "travel hub," complete with safari-themed table settings and "in-flight" views of the Serengeti.
A Feast Fit for Kings & Queens: Our "Safari Spread" was a hit! Staff refueled with a hearty buffet of fried chicken, creamy mac and cheese, savory collard greens, and golden cornbread.
The Safari Spirit: From pith helmets and binoculars to animal prints and stunning silhouettes of Mount Kilimanjaro, the atmosphere was truly immersive.

Today, we gathered for our final meeting of the year to celebrate our successes and extend our deepest gratitude to our departing 8th-grade leaders. We are especially proud of the legacy you are leaving behind. A special commendation goes to Lily, who represented Harris with distinction on the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee; she did an incredible job advocating for our school at the district level.

Our "Around the World" adventure continues! Today, our first-class teachers traded their boarding passes for beach vibes as we touched down in Cancún, Mexico. Because a legendary crew deserves a "sand-tastic" and relaxing getaway, we spent the day celebrating South of the Border style.
Today’s Travel Itinerary:
Fueling Up: We kicked off the morning with a delicious Taco Breakfast to get everyone into the festive spirit.
Mid-Day Fiesta: For lunch, teachers enjoyed a custom "Corn in a Cup" (Elote) bar and chilled out with refreshing Ice Cream Floats.
Boarding Attire: Our staff looked travel-ready in their classiest beach attire, proving that even on a "layover," they are always the best in class!
Thank you to our incredible teachers for all you do. We hope today felt like a true escape! Get your hiking boots ready, because tomorrow we head to Beijing, China! ✈️🏔️

Our 8th Grade Boys Soccer Team represented Harris tonight in the championship game against Whittier and left it all on the field. While the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, our boys played with heart, grit, and determination from start to finish. 💪❤️
