Lanier Main Building - Exterior

We had a very good first week! We want every student to feel safe, ready, and focused every day.

Please review some of our campus guidelines on Cell Phones, Backpacks, and Attendance. If you need help with any rule, please call us—we are here to help.

Cell Phone & Devices (Texas House Bill 1481)

During the school day:

  • No phones

  • No earbuds or headphones

  • No smartwatches

  • No other personal communication devices

Why? We want students to learn with fewer distractions.
Need an exception? Limited use may be allowed for health needs or safety. Talk with an assistant principal.

Backpacks

To keep everyone safe:

  • Clear or mesh backpacks only

  • Small purse is okay

  • Starts Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025.

If your family needs help getting a clear/mesh backpack, call us. We will help.

  • If your student is absent, send a note or contact the attendance office as soon as possible. We can help you with next steps.

  • Texas law: Families are notified if a student has 10 or more unexcused absences in a six-month period (days or parts of days). (saisd.net)

Need support? If illness, work, transportation, or other challenges are getting in the way, call us. We will work with you.
