What a wonderful first day of school and a successful Meet the Teacher evening! I’m grateful for the warmth, collaboration, and energy you brought to our campus. Together, we’ve set a strong foundation for a year of growth, learning, and achievement for every student.
As your principal, I am here to serve you and your children in every way I can within my power. My door is always open, and I am committed to listening, learning, and leading with care, high expectations, and a focus on what’s best for your child and our school community.
A reminder about attendance: regular attendance is foundational to a student’s learning and overall achievement. When students are present each day and arrive on time, they engage with new content, participate in class activities, and stay on track with their peers. Please help us maintain strong attendance by prioritizing punctual arrival, scheduling appointments outside of instructional time whenever possible, and notifying the school promptly when your child is absent. If you encounter challenges with attendance, reach out so we can explore solutions together.
Thank you for prioritizing your child’s education and for your ongoing commitment to supporting Mission Academy. Your partnership—through communication, volunteering, and involvement in school initiatives—makes a meaningful difference in our students’ success and in our school community.

Student Cell Phone Use Policy
Dear Mission Academy Parents,
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a focused and safe learning environment for all students, we would like to remind you of our policy regarding the use of cell phones and personal electronic devices on school property.
Cell Phone and Electronic Device Policy:
The use of cell phones and other personal electronic devices, including MP3 players, video game devices, and headphones, is strictly prohibited on school property during school hours.
For safety purposes, students may possess cell phones on campus; however, they must remain powered off and stored in a backpack from the start of the school day until the final bell.
At Mission Academy, all cell phones and personal electronic devices must be stored in backpacks. Headphones are only permitted for supervised instructional use. Listening to music using personal headphones in class is not allowed.
Consequences for Unauthorized Use:
To ensure the effective enforcement of this policy, the following consequences will be applied for unauthorized use of any electronic device:
1st Offense: Documented verbal warning and a reminder that electronic devices may be confiscated.
2nd Offense: Electronic devices will be confiscated and returned only to the parent/guardian at the end of the day. A signature will be required for receipt of the item.
3rd and Additional Offenses: Device will be confiscated. Only the parent/guardian may pick up the item at the end of the day, and a consequence will be assigned by an administrator.
Please note that confiscated electronic devices should be turned in to the office as soon as possible. Parents may request to speak with an administrator regarding the confiscated item. Our office staff will maintain logs of all offenses.
Communication During School Hours:
Students needing to use a phone during the school day should be sent to the office with a note signed by the teacher stating the purpose of the call.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a conducive learning environment for all students. If you have questions or concerns regarding this policy, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your support!
