Please be aware that a new state law prohibits student use of personal communication devices during the school day. The district and campus are required to enforce this state law, with consequences aligned to our Student Code of Conduct. Details here: SAISD Cell Phone Law
At Cotton Academy, we will follow the protocol below for collecting and storing student personal devices:
Elementary Grades (3–5): Students will keep their cell phones and all other electronic devices stored in their backpacks.
Middle School Grades (6-8): Cell phones will be collected by teachers, while all other electronic devices will remain in students' backpacks.
