Yesterday, our teachers and staff participated in the TCIS Conference, where we heard from renowned author, speaker, and activist Luong Ung, followed by professional learning sessions at Burbank HS. Our amazing Hawk teachers delivered multiple sessions focused on social-emotional learning, data-driven instruction, enhancing the curriculum with IB, and more! And of course, the award winning Harris Mariachi Orgullo Mexicano performed and took our breath away! Harris Night at the Opera: A Standing Ovation! 🎭🎶

Last week, our middle school students were treated to a truly spectacular cultural immersion at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts! The opera was magnificent, but the night's biggest bravo moment belonged to one of our own! Imagine the students' surprise and delight when they saw their very own Choir teacher shine on stage as one of the featured performers! Talk about an unforgettable inspiration. We couldn't be prouder of our talented Mr. Melchor and the lasting memory this created for our students.
