Join the H-E-B School Plastic Bag Recycling Challenge!
Dear Hot Wells Middle School Families,
We are excited to announce that our school is partnering with H-E-B for their School Plastic Bag Recycling Challenge! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to lead the way in protecting the Texas environment while competing for a chance to win a gift card for our school.
What to do: Please send your clean, dry plastic bags to school with your student.
Dates: We are collecting bags from now until April 3, 2026.
Collection Day: Our first official bag pick-up will be Monday, March 16, right after Spring Break.
Why participate? Beyond helping the environment, the more bags we collect, the higher the value of the gift card our school receives!
Let’s make this the best challenge yet!
Thank you,
Mrs. Escobar- FACE Specialist

As we approach STAAR Testing season it is imperative that all students arrive to class on time each class period. Beginning this week if a student is late to the same class twice in one week they will be given after school detention which will be held each Wednesday beginning tomorrow, February 18th, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. Be on the lookout for a phone call or paper notice from your child's teachers. If students are not able to attend After School Detention on the designated day, they will be given OCI the following day to make up the tardiness to class. Guardians, please have daily conversations with your students about the importance of arriving to class on time. Thank you and have a great day!
