On Jan 31, Students from LOTC, SOS club, Cheer, and Student Council volunteered at the San Antonio Food Bank. Highlands JROTC Cadets and three Soldiers from our partnered unit supported the event. Six former LOTC students, now in high school, also attended.
San Antonio SOS was also in attendance. This event allowed our students to collaborate with other students together as one team, regardless of grade or age.
597 bags of vegetables packed, resulting in 20 pallets, 26,430lbs.

This past Saturday, LOTC and Cheer participated in Wreaths Across America 2025 at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Former LOTC students (four 11th grade, two 10th grade, two 9th grade) also joined us.
Students say the Veteran's name out loud to ensure their memory lives on. Afterwards, we went to the Fort Sam Houston PX food court for lunch. Thank you, Ms. Estrada, who also helped.
Thank you, Mr. Guevara and Ms. Vela, for all that you do to show our students the importance of volunteering.
Way to go, Dragons!
