🎁 Presents for Your Presence! 🎁
Margil families, we’re excited to launch annual our Winter Attendance Rally: “Presents for Your Presence”!
Students who have no more than 1 absence and 1 tardy between December 1st (Return from Thanksgiving) and the last day before Winter Break will earn a special wrapped present to celebrate their commitment to being at school, on time and ready to learn.
Every day counts. Every minute matters.
Let’s finish the semester strong—together! 💙🤍

Margil has an average of 50 tardies daily (in the morning and during the day). Arriving to school on time every day sets your child up for success. When students start their morning calmly and on time, they are more focused, confident, and ready to learn! 💪📚
Please remember the SAISD Tardy Guidelines:
✅ A student is considered tardy if they are not in their assigned area when the class bell rings and the teacher is unaware of their location (i.e. student arrived to campus on time and is in the cafeteria, walking their sibling to class).
✅ An elementary student who leaves school before official dismissal time (3:00 pm) is also considered tardy (i.e. a parents signs their child out early).
✅ A student is considered tardy if they enter their assigned area after the bell rings, even by a few seconds.
Let's work together to ensure our students begin each day prepared and on time. Every minute counts — and so does every child! ❤️
Thank you for your continued support! #EveryDayCounts #OnTimeIsOnTrack #SAISDStrong
The District is launching Stopfinder, a free, user-friendly app that provides real-time access to student bus schedules. Parents can: ●View student bus schedules anytime, anywhere● Set up GeoAlerts for bus arrivals/departures at key locations. ● Customize alert zones for each student’s route. Please see flyers.

Each grade level has been assigned a specific food item to contribute—please see the attached flyer for details.
Thank you for helping us spread kindness and gratitude this Thanksgiving season. Your support makes a real difference for our families and community.
