Dear SAISD Familia,
We are headed in the right direction.
In April, the Texas Education Agency released accountability scores for 2023. Now, with results for 2024 and 2025 in hand, we are seeing a clear trend: progress.
Our district's scores are moving in step with the state’s trajectory, and we’re optimistic that this school year will bring us even closer to closing the gaps.
SAISD has earned a C rating for 2025, an improvement from a D rating in 2024. After earning a C in 2023, we experienced a temporary dip — but we’re back, stronger and more focused than ever. We're building on that momentum with confidence as we begin the 2025–26 school year.
There’s even more reason to be encouraged. In 2025, we achieved the following:
• 35% decrease in the number of D- and F-rated campuses.
• Nearly two-thirds of our schools earned a C or better, up from just under half last year.
• 20 schools are just one point away from earning a higher rating.
• 30 campuses earned an A or B.
• 26 campuses earned one or more Distinction Designations, and 3 campuses earned all possible distinctions.
This kind of progress doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of persistence, passion, and an unwavering belief in our students and staff.
Still, we know our work is far from over. Approximately 60% of our students are not yet reading on grade level. That’s not just a statistic — it’s a call to action.
Last year, we proved what’s possible when we act with urgency and skill. This year, we are accelerating that momentum. We are fueled by purpose. Driven by possibility. And united in our belief in every child’s potential.
We are a familia, bound by a shared vision to inspire, nurture, and empower the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and change-makers. Together, we’re moving forward — and we’re not slowing down.
