NEWS RELEASE Aug. 22, 2025 - San Antonio ISD is currently accepting applications from interested individuals who would like to serve on the district’s 2026 Blue Ribbon Task Force. Applications are due by Sept. 5, 2025, and are available online at www.saisd.net/BlueRibbonTaskForce.
Creation of the task force was approved by the SAISD Board of Trustees on Aug. 18, 2025, to inform and advise board and district leadership on how to achieve its vision of families choosing SAISD schools because they see their values, culture, and aspirations reflected.
The 24-member task force will comprise 21 SAISD residents representing diverse neighborhoods and perspectives and three at-large business and community leaders selected by the superintendent to bring forward strategic insight and civic partnership.
Task force members will serve over a six-month period, and during this time, they will assess and recommend solutions to address the district’s facility needs, ensuring all students have access to modern, inspiring, and equitable learning environments. Members will be expected to visit campuses, engage with the community, and provide feedback to board and district leadership.
