April 2 (Thurs) – Night in Old Tech
5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fox Tech High School, 637 N. Main Ave., 78205
The combined Fox Tech/CAST Tech/Advanced Learning Academy campus is proud to continue the long-standing tradition of Night in Old Tech, an annual celebration with live mariachi performances, student-led booths, games, food and drinks in a vibrant fiesta atmosphere. The mariachis from Edison, Lanier, Brackenridge, Burbank, Fox Tech, ALA, and CAST Tech will participate. Night in Old Tech draws generations of alumni back to campus each year, creating a strong connection between past and present. It reflects the pride, culture, and sense of community that define the school and downtown community.


April 3 (Fri) – SAISD closed for Easter Break
All SAISD offices and campuses will be closed on Friday, April 3 for Easter break. Normal office and school hours resume on Monday, April 6.


April 6 (Mon) – SAISD Board Meeting

The SAISD Board of Trustees will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at the central administrative office.


April 10 (Fri) – Wilson Elementary 4th annual Selena Talent Show
6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wilson Elementary, 1421 Clower St., 78201
In its fourth year, the annual Selena Talent Show has grown to become Wilson Elementary’s biggest event. The newest twist this year? Celebrity judges will also be performing for the first time! This year’s judge’s lineup includes Jenny B, Cheyenne Saenz, Erica Gonzaba-Hawkins and Danny Farias. The brainchild of staff member Rosa Narvaez, the talent show honors Tejano superstar Selena, and it provides a powerful platform for students, particularly Mexican American and Latino youth, to see their heritage celebrated. It encourages them to embrace their roots while expressing their unique modern identities on stage.


April 11 (Sat) – Hillcrest Elementary 3rd annual Autism Awareness Walk
7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Concepcion Park, 600 Theo Parkway, 78210
The Hillcrest Elementary Run Club returns to Concepcion Park for their 3rd annual 5K walk for autism awareness. All ages are welcome and it’s free to run, walk and celebrate. The Burbank High School mariachis will be on hand to provide entertainment. Free hot dogs and chips will be available while supplies last.


April 11 (Sat) – SAISD Final Food Distribution
9 a.m., Alamo Stadium, 110 Tuleta Drive, 78212
San Antonio ISD, in partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank, will host their final food distribution of the school year on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 9 a.m. at Alamo Stadium. This is a drive-through, first-come, first-served event that is open to all San Antonio ISD families and the surrounding community.
