Planned Scope of Work*

Overhaul or replace all classrooms and science labs
Overhaul or replace special education classrooms
Overhaul or replace main office and main entrance to include secured vestibule
Renovate physical education support spaces
Overhaul or replace student dining and kitchen
Update mechanical systems to meet the latest energy efficiency and indoor air quality standards
Add new outdoor learning opportunities
Add, replace, and/or repair existing playground equipment
Re-pave and re-surface parking lots and driveways

Update

Design work continues for bond improvements for Smith Elementary. The project is 50% through the Design Development phase, with the design team currently assessing existing conditions, and verifying scope and budget. Once this process is completed, the project will proceed to the Construction Documents phase. (Learn more about project phases at the bottom of this page.)

The project bid and construction details are expected to be presented to the Board of Trustees for approval in fall 2024.
