Planned Scope of Work* 

• New gym addition and renovation of existing gym to include restrooms, offices, and storage
• Renovate interior of the fine arts building to include updated classrooms and mariachi space
• The auditorium will receive upgrades to its stage, lighting, and curtains

Update

Preparations to begin construction at Tafolla Middle School are underway. The Notice to Proceed was issued in March, clearing the way for the general contractor to mobilize and prepare the campus. Fencing was being installed around the project perimeter in April 2024. Up first is demolition of the practice gym, to make way for a brand-new competition gym. Demolition is planned for the spring-to-summer time frame. The existing competition gym will become a practice gym.

Bond 2020 work at Tafolla is expected to be completed in spring 2026.
