Update

Construction is underway at the Young Women’s Leadership Academy’s Huisache Avenue campus, which houses grades 6-12. Demolition of YWLA’s old academic building was completed in March. Drilling for piers for the new building’s foundation is expected to begin in mid-April, with foundation work taking place through the summer.

In addition to classrooms, the new academic building will include labs and collaborative spaces that support hands-on and group activities, making it easier for the campus to simulate the kinds of highly collaborative situations that students will experience in college and the workplace.

Bond 2020 renovations at the school are expected to be completed in fall 2025.
