Topping Out Ceremony

SAISD Rogers College Prep Middle School held a recent “Topping Out Ceremony” with Superintendent Jamie Aquino, Trustee Leticia Ozuna, General Contractor - Flintco, Pfluger Architects, design team members from the district, campus leadership and students. The topping out ceremony is an age-old tradition in which the tallest and last beam is placed on a project.  It commemorates the hard work that the entire project team has contributed to reaching this day. The last beam was painted and signed by attendees including student athletes and coaches from the campus to celebrate work on a new competition gym.

Once the Bond 2020 project is complete, the Rogers campus will include a new competition gym with support spaces, lockers, training and weight rooms; along with the conversion of the existing secondary gym into a fine arts facility; relocation of the library to first floor; and renovation of the existing auditorium. Estimated completion of the project is set for the summer of 2024.
