What:         Demolition to begin on Beacon Hill original school building

When:        July 24 (Wed) – 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.

Where:       Beacon Hill Academy, 1411 W. Ashby Place

For those of you who have been following the status of Beacon Hill’s original school building, the single-story structure will be demolished beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24. Principal Laryn Nelson will be onsite for questions from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m..

The original school building has been unused and closed since 1998. The parents and community in the Beacon Hill neighborhood have long wanted the building removed to open the area for much-needed green and play space for the children.

The District is pleased to complete this demolition work before the beginning of the new school year on Monday, Aug. 12.
