Welcome to the SAISD Extended Day Program! We proudly serve over 60 campuses with almost 4,000 students daily. Through our partnership with the City of San Antonio's After School Challenge Program and the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Cycle 11 grant, we offer children a safe learning environment that engage students in academic and enrichment learning activities.
Students enrolled in the Extended Day program receive dinner and a snack, homework and academic support, and hands-on STEAM curricular activities. In addition, students can participate in the San Antonio iplay sports events and NBA Math Hoops to help foster team-building and personal growth. This academic year, we are leveling up by introducing literacy kits in the after school sites packed with a variety of fiction and nonfiction texts. These activities are aligned to the SAISD Always Learning Plan and Board Goals.
