About Us
The SAISD Office of Strategy uses a long-term, systems-based approach to manage the relationship between progress toward outcomes, priorities, resources, and enterprise systems throughout the district. We do this with a dedication to guiding and enhancing the district's strategic initiatives to support thriving students and staff. Our department collaborates with stakeholders across the district to:
- identify key priorities
- develop actionable plans
- align resources
- and monitor progress toward our goals
By fostering a culture of innovation and accountability, we aim to align resources effectively, streamline processes, and support the implementation of initiatives that enhance teaching and learning.
Our focus on data-driven decision-making and stakeholder engagement ensures that we remain responsive to the evolving needs of our community, ultimately driving success and equity within the San Antonio Independent School District.
Our core functions include:
- monitoring progress on Board Goals, Guardrails, and Theory of Action
- monitoring progress on Always Learning
- facilitating the Children’s Cabinet and Growth & Development Committee
- developing and monitoring the School Performance Framework
- facilitating continuous improvement in schools and departments
- strategic planning and collaboration with District partners
Current special projects include:
- collaborating with Operations on the Facilities Repurposing Process
- project management of Rightsizing
- co-developing business continuity and emergency preparedness plans
- co-developing strategic safety plans
