Class of 2025 Valedictorian

How have SAISD schools shaped you into the person you are today?

SAISD schools helped me provide a safe environment where I can express myself, as well as learn without being afraid. The teachers I had were influential and remarkable role models. My teachers went out of their way to see my potential and help in any way they can. I am thankful to be in a district where they not only see potential in every student but also offer teachers and resources that provide a safe and remarkable learning environment for a successful educational career for every student.

As a leader of the Class of 2025, what is your hope for the class as they move on to the next chapter of their lives?

I hope nothing but the absolute best for my peers as they move on to their next chapter. No matter what you are pursuing in your life, no matter where you go, no matter what challenges you are going to face in the future, all I’m going to say is I believe in you. I am hoping that the Class of 2025 will continue to work on their dreams with passion and dedication and strive for big things that will not only bring change to our community but bring a positive impact to our lives. Keep going and follow your heart.

What are your plans for next year and why did you choose this path?

I plan to go into the Pharmacy program at the University of the Incarnate Word. I chose this path because I want to offer Spanish healthcare in fields that lack it.

What is the greatest challenge you have overcome in your education and how did you overcome it?

Attendance has been a great challenge during my education. It was hard to balance my absences with my grades. I overcame this hardship by attending tutoring and asking my teachers for help.

Who has been most influential to you in your education this far and why?

My friends have been the most influential people in my education. They have motivated me at my lowest and have cheered for me at my highest. Had I not had such support, I wouldn’t be at the place I am currently at.
