In honor of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the Office of Information Technology and the SAISD Foundation have teamed up for the third annual Cybersecurity art contest.
Students had the opportunity to create original works of art that conveyed themes in cybersecurity.
“SAISD’s cybersecurity poster contest is a fun and engaging way to educate students and our community about the importance of cybersecurity and how to protect themselves online, while recognizing SAISD’s efforts to promote cybersecurity education,” Eva Mendoza, Chief Information Technology Officer, said. “The contest encourages students to research and learn more about the current cyber threats and best practices. These student-created images empower our students to take ownership of their own cyber safety.”
In each grade level category (K-5, 6-8, 9-12), first and second place winners were named, receiving prizes funded by the SAISD Foundation of $50 and $25, respectively. Several honorable mentions were also named for each category and all recognized pieces are rotating through as lock screens on district devices this month.
Please join us in celebrating the following student winners and the educators who support them in their artistic endeavors. Click the thumbnail to see a larger version of each image.
