In honor of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, UTSA’s Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security donated hundreds of Cyber Threat Defender Cards to San Antonio ISD teachers.
Cyber Threat Defender aims to teach cybersecurity principles and other security issues. The donation will allow teachers to gamify cyberlearning and serve as ground level interest for students who will later involve themselves in CyberPatriot Competitions.
Chief Information Technology Officer, Ken Thompson, expressed his gratitude to UTSA for assisting the district in its commitment to closing the knowledge digital divide for all students.
CIAS was established at UTSA in June of 2001 to lead the Cybersecurity program. UTSA is a longtime educational partner and supporter of SAISD. En honor del Mes de Concientización de Seguridad Informática, el Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security de UTSA donó cientos de tarjetas de Cyber Threat Defender a los maestros de San Antonio ISD.
Cyber Threat Defender procura enseñar principios de seguridad informática y otros problemas de seguridad. La donación les permitirá a los maestros hacer un juego del aprendizaje informático y sirve como un nivel inicial de interés para los estudiantes que después participarán en los concursos de CyberPatriot.
Ken Thompson, el Oficial Principal de Tecnología Informática, expresó su gratitud a UTSA por ayudar al distrito con su compromiso a cerrar la brecha de conocimiento digital para todos los estudiantes.
