May 28 (Sat) – SAISD holds Mental Health Awareness Walk

"SAISD Into the Light" is a special event that was inspired by Jefferson High School senior Joseph Gonzalez, creator of last year’s “Jefferson Into the Light” mental health awareness walk. This student's passion for lifting the silence and stereotypes associated with mental health has taken this project from one idea on campus to one that is fully supported districtwide. He speaks about the importance of breaking down mental health stigmas in this short video:

All SAISD schools and offices will be closed in celebration of Memorial Day.
May 31 (Tues) – Lanier High School Scholarship Banquet
11 a.m., Lanier High School, 1514 W. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd., 78207
Lanier High School will celebrate seniors from the Class of 2022 with a Scholarship Banquet. The scholarships are funded through partnerships in the community with the SAISD Foundation. This year, Lanier students will be awarded $26,400 in scholarships through the SAISD Foundation.

SAISD will celebrate its seniors and their achievements during 16 graduation ceremonies. This week’s ceremonies will recognize the graduates of the following high schools and specialized campuses:
