What:              
SAISD Foundation to distribute dorm room essentials to college-bound students
 
150 first-generation college students will receive dorm-life essentials to set them up for success in their first year away from home
 
When:            
July 21 (Thurs), 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 
Where:          
Alamo Convocation Center parking lot, 110 Tuleta Drive, 78212
 
The San Antonio ISD (SAISD) Foundation, in collaboration with Gamez Law, will host a "Dorm Room Essentials"  distribution event to support 150 college-bound students. Luggage and dorm room supplies were collected during a Foundation event on July 14. 
 
“Our hope is that our college students will know that their San Antonio ISD community is behind them. As first-generation college students, supporting their post-secondary journey is especially meaningful,” said Carrie Smith, SAISD Foundation’s alumni and community engagement manager.
