Aug. 19 (TODAY) – Jefferson High School Annual Ice Cream Social

The oldest ice cream party in San Antonio is back! Jefferson High School is hosting its annual ice cream social and once again it promises to be an evening highlighted with cool treats and Mustang pride. All the action takes place at the Pony Field on campus. It all begins with everyone getting FREE ice cream to cool off. That is followed up with Jefferson student groups and athletes marching in the annual Summer Review parade at 7:15 p.m. Mustang spirit groups will also be performing at the event, and Jefferson alumni in attendance will be recognized. Expect big crowds and big fun!

The SAISD Board of Trustees will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at the central administrative office. 
The board meeting will go into recess at 6 p.m. to hold a press conference discussing the district's STAAR results in the board room following the TEA grading summary being presented to the Board of Trustees and the public.

Sept. 24 (Sat) – SAISD Teacher Job Fair for Campuses with Vacancies
9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., SAISD Central Office, 514 W. Quincy St., 78212
SAISD will look to fill any teaching vacancies that remain open at various campuses at a Teacher Job Fair. 
The district is seeking certified teachers or will assist teacher candidates to enter an emergency certification program to get them onboard and into the classroom to begin making a difference in students' lives.
