Aug. 31 (Wed) – Smith Elementary School "Back to School Bash"
3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., Smith Elementary School, 823 S. Gevers St., 78203
The students and staff at Smith Elementary will celebrate their "B" state accountability rating and Distinction Designation in Mathematics with their community. The campus is hosting a "Back to School Bash" with food, drinks, fun and games - including a water slide to cool down on the last day of August.

Sept. 1 (Thurs) – SAISD hosts Community Job Expo
10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Alamo Convocation Center, 110 Tuleta Drive, 78212 
The SAISD Adult and Community Education Program is inviting job seekers in San Antonio to a Job Expo featuring more than 30 local companies and businesses. On-site interviews will be conducted with the potential for immediate hire. There will also be free workshops to help job candidates create a resume that stands out from the crowd, along with tips for getting well prepared for a job interview.

Sept. 24 (Sat) – SAISD hosts Teacher Job Fair
9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., SAISD Central Office, 514 W. Quincy St., 78212
SAISD looks to fill remaining teaching vacancies with certified teachers or will assist teacher candidates to enter an emergency certification program to get them onboard and into the classroom to begin making a difference in students' lives.
