Sept. 24 (Sat) – SAISD Teacher Job Fair for campuses with vacancies

SAISD will look to fill any teaching vacancies that remain open at various campuses at a Teacher Job Fair.
The district is seeking to hire certified teachers or will assist teacher candidates to enter an emergency certification program allowing them to get them onboard and into the classroom to begin making a difference in students' lives.

Sept. 28 (Wed) – SAISD Redistricting Town Hall Meeting for Single Member District 1

San Antonio ISD is launching a comprehensive public engagement process to gather community input for new Single-Member District (SMD) maps for its seven-member Board of Trustees. This is the fourth in a series of Redistricting Town Hall Meetings that will be held across the district to gather input and comments from SAISD families and community members. This meeting will focus on Single Member District 3 and will feature SAISD Superintendent Dr. Jaime Aquino and Board Trustee Sarah Sorensen hosting a "meet and greet" session before opening up discussion on the proposed redistricting maps. Parents, teachers, staff, and community members from all schools within each single-member district are encouraged to attend the meetings.

Sept. 29 (Thurs) – Democracy Prep Academy hosts "Mi Gente" Hispanic Heritage Month celebration
5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Democracy Prep Academy, 1950 Rigsby Ave., 78210
Celebrating the history and cultures of Hispanic Heritage Month with a lot of family fun mixed in is what's on the agenda for the 2nd annual Democracy Prep Academy "Mi Gente" event. Everyone in the community is invited to join the action. Student performances will include the middle school Mariachis along with cultural dances. Activity stations will be set up throughout so families can enjoy hands-on fun working and learning together. It promises to be a wonderful evening for the "gente" of the Democracy Prep community.
