Background
The time has come to officially get the ceremonial gold shovels in the ground after San Antonio ISD voters overwhelmingly approved the $1.3 billion 2020 bond. Rogers Middle School is the site of the first groundbreaking for the 2020 bond. The bond project includes more than 30 renovation projects at campuses across the district.
Planned Improvements:
• New competition gym
• Existing gym will be renovated into a Fine Arts Facility
• New PE and Athletics spaces - locker rooms, rest rooms and showers, weight room, multi-purpose mat room and training room
• Open concept library moving to first floor of new 3-story building.
• Renovation of existing auditorium with new sound system and performance lighting system, stage curtains and cosmetic improvements, and accessible ramp to stage level
• Site improvements include a new bus loop with additional parking, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) upgrades, and landscaping throughout the campus.
