June 24 (Sat) – SAISD Auxiliary Career Fair

SAISD is hosting a career fair to grow its skilled trades familia. Positions are available for carpenters, construction helpers, cooks, custodians, drivers, electricians, police officers, plumbers and more. In-person interviews will be held, with on-site hiring.

June 24 (Sat) – Parent and Neighborhood Gathering on Community Safety 
10 a.m. to noon, Sam Houston High School, 4635 E. Houston St., 78220 
Sam Houston High School is host for a community gathering to discuss safety challenges, inform residents about community safety and violence prevention resources, and announce available summer programming. The San Antonio Food Bank will provide grocery bundles to families after the event. 

June 27 (Tues) – Drone STEM Camp 
9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Longfellow Middle School, 1130 E. Sunshine Drive, 78228 
Note to media: Longfellow will host the United States Air Force drone team and teach grades 6-8 about careers in drone technology.

July 3-7 (Mon - Fri) – SAISD July 4th Break
All SAISD campuses and offices will be closed for Independence Day from Monday, July 3 through Friday, July 7. The district will resume normal hours on Monday, July 10.
