July 19 (Wed) – SAISD Summertime Celebration Educator Career Fair

San Antonio ISD is recruiting for positions in its elementary, middle and high schools. During this Educator Career Fair, there will be in-person interviews and on-site hiring for educators and instructional assistants. Attendees will learn about teacher pathways for individuals degreed in math, science, foreign languages, career and technical education (CTE), and fine arts.
 
July 20 (Thurs) – SAISD Foundation gifts dorm room supplies to recent graduates
11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Alamo Convocation Center, 110 Tuleta, 78212 
The SAISD Foundation recently collected dorm room supplies for about 200 college-bound students from among the SAISD Class of 2023. During this Thursday event, foundation representatives and SAISD alumni will gift the supplies to recent high school graduates who will be living in dorms this fall. Alumni Joe A. and Carmen Gamez were sponsors of this initiative, and Carmen will be in attendance. A Whataburger food truck also will be on site. Among the items students will receive include bedding, towels, laundry soap, shower caddies, laundry hampers and donated luggage.
