Sept. 4 (Mon) – SAISD schools and offices closed for Labor Day Holiday
All SAISD schools and offices are closed in observance of the Labor Day Holiday. Campuses and offices will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Sept. 5-7 (Tues-Thurs) – SAISD Rightsizing Neighborhood Meetings 
SAISD is holding a series of neighborhood meetings to discuss with families, staff, and community members the possibility of restructuring schools for the 2024-2025 academic year, including closing or consolidating campuses. This week’s meetings are scheduled as follows:
• Sept. 5 (Tues) – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Hawthorne Academy, 115 W. Josephine St., 78212
• Sept. 6 (Wed) – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Twain Dual Language Academy, 2411 San Pedro Ave., 78212
• Sept. 7 (Thurs) – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Rogers College Prep Middle School, 314 Galway St., 78223

Sept. 9 (Sat) – YWLA-Primary “Gardening with Grandparents”
9 a.m. to 11 a.m., YWLA-Primary, 401 Berkshire, 78210
Blue Jay students at Young Women’s Leadership Primary and their grandparents will work together in the campus garden as part of Grandparents Day festivities. The event also celebrates the love between generational family members, while reinforcing the importance of loving our planet Earth.
