During the regularly scheduled board meeting tonight, San Antonio ISD trustees will hear the initial recommendation package proposed by district staff to rightsize the district. After additional community engagement and input on the proposal, the board will vote on a final recommendation package on Monday, Nov. 13.

The initial recommendation details the school buildings the district proposes to close, redesign, relocate, co-locate or merge in 2024-2025. The district also will identify the receiving schools that will welcome new students and teachers as part of this proposed process. 

From the very beginning of this initiative, the district has fostered a culture of engagement, making its community a crucial partner in this journey. Following tonight’s meeting, the district will release another round of meeting dates to transparently discuss the specifics of how each facility was determined to be part of the recommendation package.
