San Antonio ISD invites media coverage of the largest food distribution of the year in which the district participates. The San Antonio Food Bank distribution, in partnership with SAISD, is underwritten by Harvey Najim. SAISD families already have been invited, and reporters are welcome to cover this annual Holiday Mega Food Distribution.

The San Antonio Food Bank and San Antonio ISD are partnering to ensure families in the school district have food to eat this holiday season. The Holiday Mega Food Distribution is the district’s largest food distribution event of the year. One thousand families have been invited to this drive-through event at Alamo Stadium. 

It takes many hands to serve the families during an event of this size. Those expected to be present include Harvey Najim, philanthropist and sponsor of the event, as well as several SAISD board members, and about 80 staff members from the district and food bank. 

At the beginning of the event, from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., a special guest from the Spurs will mingle with volunteers and families to ensure everyone is in the holiday spirit.
